High Time
Hello to all of you! Well, I'm sure we would all agree that it has been far too long. To begin, I have a bit of a confession to make: I don't like posting new things on our blog when nobody comments on anything. Therefore, what has really been happening is I have been punishing all of you. How about that? :)
Oh my. What can I possibly say about Cate? I love that girl soooo much!! She is almost 4 months old already. I can't stand how quickly she is growing up. But every day she just gets even more loveable that I just want to eat her up. She is such a happy little baby. She is sleeping through most nights now, and even went 10 hours once! She has started to bring out this gleeful little scream which David and I absolutley cannot get enough of! She is starting to roll, she can hold her head up for long periods of time and she loves standing.
I love being at home with her. But these days I almost feel guilty because it is so easy! She just sleeps, eats and plays all day.
So in other news...life is about to change in a huuuuge way for the Guenther family. We are moving to England. This October. I'm not lying. Some of you may know that moving to Europe has been our dream for a very long time. When we got pregnant with Cate, however, we didn't think it would be possible. But...after a few months of careful consideration and prayer...God keeps opening more doors for us! So I applied with a company a few months ago and just got hired through them. We will moving to Leeds, in the Northeast of England. We have opted to take on supply teaching (like subbing) because they guarantee you work when you want it, but you do not have to teach everyday. . I do not have to work full time. And here's the most wonderful thing...David is goign to get to stay home with the little one! We are so excited about this. I'm so happy that there are opportunities for men to do this now a days, and I just love that he is going to have the chance to experience what I have been lucky enough to experience these past 4 months. Of course it will be very hard for me to leave her, I was not so fortunate to have a maternity leave ( in school) so we need to do what works best. David is eligible for a paternal leave with his job so it just makes sense. So right now we are in the midst of sorting through piles of paperwork to get there. We haven't booked flights yet, but our hope is to leave early October. We are commiting for one year. We will make some money, take care of our baby and travel the world! Or at least Europe.
Check out some info on Leeds here.
I hope this finds you all well! We miss you all and to some I'm sure we will see you soon.
Much Love...
Congratulations on England! Sounds exciting, what a great experience. Cate is SO cute. Don't you love the happy little screams?? Aria is giggling and I think I'm going to die everytime she does it, I'm so in love with that sound.

ReplyDeleteDave & Kathy told us of your adventures coming up. That is so exciting! Darrell & Jess and Tim & I have been tossing around the idea of going somewhere in Europe after Christmas. Then we could just, you know, swing by and see you! Dreams are free!!
Tim & I may have a position this fall at a church in Martensville. We'll tell you all about it at Kathy's wedding. By then we will know for sure.
David and Carmen, Cate is absolutely beautiful! I think that is so amazing that you are going to make your dream a reality. I hope you both, and little Cate, have an extraordinary time while in Europe.
