I'm hoping you have found your way here.
For those who know David and I well, you will know that we love films. Love with a capital L. I didn't use to have such an appreciation for it, but it has developed over the years. So in honor of the upcoming Academy Awards, I thought I would give you my own little list of the movies I have seen in the last while.

Blood Diamond. Incredible. Very hard to take in, but important, I think.
The Queen. Even if you don't have much of an appreciation for royalty, I think you can enjoy this.
Pursuit of Happyness. I liked this. It was surprisingly sad though!
Music and Lyrics- David and I saw this last night, on V-Day. umm, I didn't love it. And I normally love Hugh Grant ( Love Actually, About a Boy), but he was trying too hard or something. It just didn't work for me.
Little Children- I don't know that I would recommend this, but it's an interesting film. About the desperation and longing for escape in suburbia. I did like Kate Winslet though.
The Departed-In another post I mentioned that this might have been the best movie I saw this year. It's still up there. If you can take extreme, and I mean extreme, violence, and see past it for the plot, it's amazing. Such a crazy storyline.
Little Miss Sunshine-I saw this ages ago, but it can't be forgotten. A dark comedy. Sooo funny, but you still feel empty and hopeless for pretty much every character.
Stranger than Fiction-Okay, I think Will Ferrell is really funny, but some of his work I cannot handle. Talledega Nights? Just not for me. This, on the other hand, was a great character for him. I liked this movie a whole lot.

That could be all. I'm not going to tell you to watch them because I don't' know what your movie tastes are, and I don't want to be responsible for anything, but I think even when there is content you disagree with, you can still appreciate the artistic aspects of a film.
