Bye-Bye Baby

We leave on our cruise tomorrow!!!! As I write this, I suddenly realize that perhaps I have never told you readers that we are going a cruise! My parents are taking all of my siblings and their spouses on an 8 day cruise in the Eastern Caribbean. Isn't that nice? I can hardly believe how nice it is actually. So we are flying to Florida tomorrow and then our ship leaves on Saturday. We return home a week from this Sunday, the 14th. Sunny weather, tropical fish, unlimited food, crystal blue water....but, no Cate. That's right. You heard me. We are leaving the love behind. ohhhh. tear. tear.

We thought about bringing her, and were actually planning on it, but then we realized just how difficult that would be. So David's parents were more than willing to watch her for the time, so we decided to go with it. but there's no denying that it is going to be hard. but there's also no denying that we will have an amazing time because we know she is being well cared for. and oh yes, we are in the caribbean!

I cried tonight saying goodnight to her. I have never been away from her for the night. We will see her in the morning and then we are leaving. I'm not sure how I'm going to handle it. I just hate the thought of not seeing her gorgeous little face for that long. I hope she remembers us. that's honestly my biggest fear. or that she prefers other people (ie: david's parents) to us. I would be so sad. We made a video for her to watch so she can see us every day. and david was so sweet and made me a collage of pictures of her for our screensaver on our laptop.

So I probably won't update for a while. I better come home with a tan. :)
