February!

Oh no! I've become a terrible blogger. I'd love to use the excuse that there has been nothing happening, but that's totally untrue! We've been busy planning and if you read David's latest blog entry you'll know that we are leaving in 3 weeks, taking a mini-trip to Beijing and squeezing in a dream vacation in the Florida Keys all before mid-March. We'll be back in AB for a few days in early March, so hopefully we'll have a chance to see some of you then. And for those of you in Saskatoon, we plan to be there for Easter! We can't wait to be reunited with all our loved ones and have Cate spend time with all of you. She's a delight!

So I actually started to pack up the house yesterday. What a strange feeling to be preparing to leave this place. Like David mentioned, we've really made a happy home here and we'll be leaving so much of it behind. Nearly every household thing we've bought we will be giving away. Everything Cate has grown to love will be left behind. It's a little sad! Of course, to know that we have a fresh start at home with people we love will make it all easier. But it really is closing this chapter of our lives in so many ways. It's not a time we will ever be able to revisit.

In just two days my big brother will be coming for a visit! We can't wait and are so aware of how fortunate we've been to have so many visitors this year. We'll be spending a couple of days in Seoul and then fitting in all the Korean food and sights that we can during the rest of his 6 day visit.

Here is little Miss Cate at 22 months old . Still not walking-but we, and the specialists we've been seeing, know it won't be long. We're hoping that watching her little cousins get around will be all the encouragement she needs to take those steps.

I'll be sure to post pictures for Corey's visit. Nothing like capturing someone's first taste of kimchi!

Love to you all...
